1. Longer test times.
The industry standard for eye test times on the high street is 20-25min.We don’t think 20 minutes is enough time for a full eye health check-we take as long as you need. It is also important to have enough time to discuss the eye test results and address any concerns or questions you may have?

2. The entire eye test is performed by the optometrist.
Usually the process of your eye test may be split up and delegated to non-clinical staff. At Ibuntu, the entire eye test is undertaken by the optometrist. The taking of your personal details, your retinal photos, your eye pressures and your visual field test is all performed in the privacy of the clinic room and by the optometrist. The benefit of this is that tests can be tailored to you and any abnormal results can be investigated and discussed at the initial appointment.

3.You see a Specialist Optometrist for your eye test.
Our resident optician is highly qualified and experienced, just some of her qualifications include a Masters in Clinical Optometry, Higher Certification in Glaucoma and currently the only Cornwall based optometrist to hold an Independent Prescribing Diploma in Therapeutics(listed on the GOC specialist register).

4. No lengthy waiting times for an eye test.
